| Observation Summary | Growth found near base of [[Tsuga heteroph … Growth found near base of [[Tsuga heterophylla|Western Hemlock (''Tsuga heterophylla'')]]. Possibly fungus? Photos associated with this observation show the growth where it was found, as well as some closer photos showing more detail of the structure. The surface was gray/white and seemed fibrous, underneath that things didn't seem so well defined. Brown and black particulates mostly, with the black stuff seeming a little fluffy (for lack of a better word). In place the growth felt a little spongy to the touch, and the surface was dry.ngy to the touch, and the surface was dry. + |
