| Summary | Growth found near base of Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla). Possibly fungus? Photos associated with this observation show the growth where it was found, as well as some closer photos showing more detail of the structure. The surface was gray/white and seemed fibrous, underneath that things didn't seem so well defined. Brown and black particulates mostly, with the black stuff seeming a little fluffy (for lack of a better word). In place the growth felt a little spongy to the touch, and the surface was dry. |
