Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Muir Glacier (Cardot and Theriot, 1902), Juneau (Persson, 1954), Mendenhall Glacier and Montana Creek (both near Juneau; Persson, 1963).
Habitat: On mineral soils, especially where wet or moist, by streams and lakes, from sea level to the alpine.
Comments: Occasionally with sporophytes, gemmae frequent.
