Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 252. Throughout.
Habitat: On soil in rock crevices, among boulders, on cliff shelves, in the roots of windthrows, occasionally on the bark of trees. Generally in shade, from sea level to the alpine.
Comments: Often with sporophytes, frequently with gemmae.
