Observation Summary Growth at base of [[Picea sitchensis|Sitka Spruce (''Picea sitchensis'')]] seemed likely to be fungal. Growing on bark at base of the tree, did not seem to penetrate much. Growing on several trees in the immediate area, primarily (exclusively?) on the landward side of the trees (which were not far from the beach edge of the forest).
