Orthotrichum anomalum: Worley reports this as primarily an interior species, with the only coastal record from Skagway.

Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Known only from Skagway (Williams, 1901).
Habitat: On rocks, usually in calcareous areas, sometimes on tree trunks.
Comments: Sporophytes abundant. This is an Interior species in western North America, being near the sea only at Skagway.
