Common Spikerush (Eleocharis palustris): Collections primarily from the northern mainland, including Juneau, Gustavus, and the vicinity of Yakutat. Also from the area of the Stikine River mouth. Apparently no collections from major islands.

FNA indicates this is the most common of a difficult complex that includes other species repored from the region - Kamchatka Spikerush (Eleocharis kamtschatica), Pale Spike-rush (Eleocharis macrostachya), Soft-stem Spike-rush (Eleocharis mamillata), and One-scale Spikerush (Eleocharis uniglumis)
