Bryum capillare:

Status: Reported
Abundance: Fairly Common
Observed at: Totem Park
Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Known from Sitka (Hazen and Turner, 1886), and from the southeastern corner of Gilbert Island, by Blue Mouse Cove, Glacier Bay, Worley 10772.
Habitat: On mesic to moist forest habitats, the forest floor, bases of trees, rocks and other similar environments.
Comments: The plants are usually sterile, but occasionally with many capsules.
