Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Known only from Brownson Bay on the southern tip of Prince of Wales Island (Holzinger and Frye, 1921).
Habitat: In British Columbia the species is epiphytic on coniferous trees and alder; in southeastern Alaska the habitat was recorded as "a rock".
Comments: Frequently with sporophytes.
