Tonicella undocaerulea
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Blue-lined chiton (Tonicella undocaerulea): This beautiful species has unique blue waves on the dorsal plates. Unlike Tonicella lineata, this species tends to be orange or pink, and usually has blue lines on all its plates. To be more certain of your identification, look closely at the head plate: T. lineata almost always has the concentric lines on the headplate bordered by dark brown lines, while in T. undocaerulea they are not. Also, the lines on the headplate of T. undocaerulea are strongly zigzagged, this is uncommon in T. lineata.
