Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Probably common throughout.
Habitat: A species of open peatlands.
Comments: Sometimes with capsules. "Circiumpolar (bipolar, in South America extending along the Andes to Tierra del Fuego); northern boreal to subtropical." (Isovitta, 1966).
