Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 343. Previously reported from Lake Lindeman, British Columbia, near White Pass on the Alaskan Border (Williams, 1921).
Habitat: In fens, marshes, lake margins, sometimes on rocks, usually in more or less calcareous sites.
Comments: Rarely fertile, sporophytes not seen in southeastern Alaskan material.
