Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Not previously known. From Mt. Roberts trail (Juneau to Gastineau Peak), west ridge of Gastineau Peak, NE of Juneau, Worley and Boas 11390.
Habitat: The southeastern Alaska material grew among heathers in an open, subalpine meadow in partial shade. It is elsewhere common on various substrates in the subalpine and the alpine, although it is known to grow in forests along streams and in springs.
