Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout.
Habitat: Common and often abundant; most frequent on disturbed mineral soils, tills, moraines, beach deposits and among grasses and sedges in meadows. Also on subalpine slopes and in boulder slopes, occasionally into the alpine. An aggressive colonizer, especially in areas of glacial recession.
Comments: Occasionally with sporophytes. The species displays some morphological variation in southeastern Alaska.
