Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 270.
Habitat: Locally abundant on mesic to damp, shaded calcaerous rocks, cliffs, canyon walls, from sea level to the subalpine.
Comments: Sporophytes not seen in southeastern Alaska material, but shoot segments may serve as vegetative propagules. Usually as occasional strands, but sometimes as extensive pure mats on cliff faces.
