Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Not previously reported from Alaska. probably throughout the region.
Habitat: On and among other epiphytic bryophytes on the bark of deciduous trees (primarily alder) by streams and in humid canyons. Always local and scarce.
Comments: Sporophytes not seen, but gemmae abundant.
