Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Known only from the northernmost corner of the region: The Chilkat Mountains (Kurtz, 1885), Skagway and Lake Lindeman (Grout, 1928-40).
Habitat: On rocks or wood in mountain streams, sometimes on sandy soil. From near sea level to the subalpine and lower alpine.
Comments: Occasionally with sporophytes.
