Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout. Not previously reported.
Habitat: Locally abundant as cushions on shaded, mesic to moist cliffs (usually calcareous), canyon walls, rock outcrops and cave mouths. Rarely in semi-exposed sites. Sea level to middle forest elevations.
Comments: Usually with sporophytes. A common species that has not been previously cited from the region.
