Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Haencke Island, Disenchantment Bay, Yakutat (a single record), reported by Persson (1947) and by Stair (1947).
Habitat: On rocks. Distributionally, it tends toward an oceanic climate.
Comments: Vegetative propagation is by gemmae in the upper leaves. The Alaskan record is the northernmost in North America.
