Gersemia rubiformis
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Red soft coral (Gersemia rubiformis): This soft coral is often called a sponge, a tunicate, an anemone, a hydrocoral, and even a soft bryozoan. At low tide, it usually presets as a series of pendulous red clumps on the underside of rocks, and when the colony is submerged or squeezed the polyps stick out, giving it a fuzzier aspect.
