Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 208. Previously reported from only the Chilkat Mountains (Kurtz, 1885) and Skagway (Persson, 1952b).
Habitat: Sunny places on cliff rocks, in outcrop crevices, and similar sites in calcareous situations.
Comments: Usually with sporophytes. This species is restricted in southeastern Alaska to the "Dry Climate" areas here it is not uncommon.
