Southeastern Alaska Distribution: [D. a. var. knieffii] Not previously reported. From an open marsh beside the road from Bartlett Cove to Gustavus, Glacier Bay, Worley, Boas and Streveler 10966.
Habitat: Immersed in areas of standing or slowly flowing water, in bogs, swamps, ditches and springs.

[D. a var. knieffii] The Glacier Bay plants were growing on the floor of a small spruce forest patch in an open marsh.
Comments: [D. a var. knieffii] The southeastern material was fertile.
