Southeastern Alaska Distribution: not previously reported. From the NE shore of Saginaw Bay, about 5 miles SE of Halleck Harbour, Kuiu Island, Worley and Schofield 9078.
Habitat: The southeastern Alaska material was growing in a semi-shaded, basic, swampy area near a limestone cliff. The species is also known from a variety of wet or moist habitats, such as fens, beside lakes, ponds, pools and rivers. In calcareous and acid situations.
Comments: The southeastern Alaska material was without sporophytes.
