Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Widespread and frequent.
Habitat: Occurs as small colonies on forest duff and soils, also on exposed roots of Sitka Spruce, and on fallen trees; occasionally festooning damp cliffs. From sea level to the subalpine.
Comments: Occasionally with sporophytes.
