- Geiser Dillman Derr Stensvold 1998: subsp. americana and subsp. trichodes. Abundant; corticolous on conifers; low elevation to subalpine. About 85% of our collections were subsp. americana. The remainder were subsp. trichodes or intermediates between the two.
