Local Notes
- Sitka/Tamiasciurus hudsonicus: The population on Baranof Island is derived from an introduction of 55 animals in 1930. In 1930 and 1931 a total of 90 squirrels were introduced to Chichagof Island. In addition to successfully establishing on the main islands, they have also made it to several of the larger adjacent islands, including Kruzof and Yakobi (see Paul 2009). (edit)
