Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Previously reported from Cape Fox, Wrangell, and Hot Springs (near Sitka) by Cardot and Theriot (1902).
Habitat: On damp, wet, or (sometimes) dry rocks, boulders, cliffs, and canyon walls; from sea level to the alpine, tending to be more common at lower elevations.
Comments: Usually with sporophytes.
