Southeastern Alaska Distribution: From Yakutat (Evans, 1900) and two sites in Glacier Bay: Alnus successional stage over rocks on SE corner of Gilbert Island, by Blue Mouse Cove, Glacier Bay, Worley and Boas 10687; and up-valley across from Toyatte Glacier in Johns Hopkins Inlet, Glacier Bay, Worley 13127 (collected by J. Rawson).
Habitat: Scattered among other bryophytes on soils and till over rocks, usually in somewhat shaded sites.
