Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 335. The Wrangell and Juneau collections are based upon a report by Holzinger and Frye (1921) of Mnium subglobosum.
Habitat: In moist or wet places, especially in calcareous regions, from sea level and, more commonly, to the subalpine. Often in exposed, sunny sites.
Comments: Often with sporophytes.
