Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Not previously reported. Throughout.
Habitat: In southeastern Alaska strictly subalpine and alpine, on rocks, cliffs, and the bases and lower branches of stunted trees.
Comments: Sometimes with sporophytes (although not seen in the southeastern Alaska material).
