Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Widespread.
Habitat: On soils in shaded and exposed sites from sea level to the summits of mountains. Common among the roots of windthrows; also on forest floors, stream banks, cutbanks, slides, etc.
Comments: Frequently with sporophytes.
