  • Skinner, et al 2012: "Native grass generally restricted to very wet meadows, lakeshores, and bogs usually near or below timberline. Rather uncommon in Alaska and may be confused with the more prevalent P. paucispicula, but P. leptocoma's lower branches are scabrous."
