Arctic Bluegrass (Poa arctica): Collections primarily from the northern mainland and northern-most islands. Also collected near Hyder and on Revillagigedo Island.

Aears sto be prevalent on alpine dry rocky ridges and in dry disturbed areas o tundra. Often viviparous." [as P. a. ssp. arctica] "Native grass common across Alaska's tundra and subalpine/alpine regions. Often found where natural or manmade disturbances occur and where mineral soil is exposed. The viviparous or bulbiferous form may also be present."
