Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout. Previously reported from a few sites. More frequent in the northern part of the region.
Habitat: In humid environments, where shaded, on well drained soils; locally abundant, especially in the northern part of southeastern Alaska. Most commonly on alluvial soils in mature forests along rivers or streams; occasionally along streams in forests at middle elevations and at forest margins. In the successional forest and sapling zone on raised beaches in the North.
Comments: Commonly with sporophytes in the northern part of southeastern Alaska.
