Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Previously reported from a few locations. Throughout.
Habitat: In forest sites, on soil, duff, tree trunks, decaying wood, rocks and cliffs.
Comments: Often with sporophytes. Following Ireland (1969) P. curvifolium is included in this species.. Plagiothecium curvifolium was reported from Pacific coastal districts in Alaska; Latouche Island (Persson, 1963), Kuiu Island, and Sitka (Persson, 1952).
