Northern Pintail (Anas acuta) Uncommon in Fall and Fairly Common Spring migrant, Rare winter resident and Rare to Very Rare in summer. Most easily seen along the road system at Starrigavan, Totem Park, or Swan Lake.

Common migrant, mainly in May, August and September; sparse in winter and summer. Gibson (1976a) saw four juveniles at Kadashan Bay 8 July 1975; there were two June observations on the Sitka Breeding Bird Survey, 1993-97. Reported on 13 of the 28 Christmas counts.
