Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Probably throughout the subalpine and alpine.
Habitat: Usually on wet peat among other bryophytes, sometimes in drier sites. Most frequently in the subalpine, but also near sea level in peatlands. Seldom in deep shade.
Comments: Sporophytes are common.
