Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Probably throughout.

Habitat: On shaded rocks, forest duff, sometimes on decaying wood, usually where damp or somewhat moist, and in other similar habitats.

Comments: Often fertile. This is one of the few species that extends from Alaska to Mexico. A varied ecology reflects this broad latitudinal distribution.
