Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Not previously reported. From the mouth of Lake Diana, central Baranof Island, Worley, Sharp and Iwatsuki 3913.
Habitat: The southeastern Alaska plants were growing in a damp bryophyte mat between boulders in a patch of subalpine tundra vegetation. In British Columbia the species is known from similar open sites, usually somewhat alkaline to neutral, in the subalpine or alpine (Schofield, 1968a).
Comments: Sporophytes absent.
