- Geiser Dillman Derr Stensvold 1998: Abundant; mainly on branches and trunks of conifers and on deciduous shrubs in forested stands at low elevations. Sometimes found on Alnus but usually yellow in color in such cases. Not found in open mixed-conifer forests or Pinus contorta peatlands.
