Lobaria amplissima
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Lobaria amplissima: On trunks and branches of Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis), Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) and Pacific Crabapple (Malus fusca) in old growth beach fringe forest. Currently known from fewer than 25 sites in Southeast Alaska. PacNW herbarium database shows collections from southern half of the region all on islands with a single collection from near Yakutat being the only exception.
Local Notes
- Sitka/Lobaria amplissima: Has been found at Three Entrance Bay where it was growing on Pacific Crabapple (Malus fusca). (edit)
