Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Previously reported only from Cairn Ridge NW of Juneau (Persson, 1963). Probably throughout.
Habitat: In southeastern Alaska from mesic to humid crevices on cliffs and canyons, always in shade. From sea level to the subalpine. In similar habitats throughout its range.
Comments: Not seen with sporophytes in western North America.
