Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Known only from two collections: Chilkat Mountains (vicinity of the Lynn Canal), reported by Kurtz (1885); near Lake Lindeman just across the border in British Columbia, also in the northernmost part of the "Panhandle"), reporte by Howe (1901).
Habitat: (According to Arnell, 1956) Dry summits of moraine-hills above the conifer belt. Cliffs of sliiceous rocks. Elsewhere in its range known from rocks and crevices in alpine areas.
Comments: As with G. concinnatum it is somewhat surprising that this species has not been recollected in southeastern Alaska since the two early collections.
