Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 214.
Habitat: Relatively common, and often locally abundant. In humid to wet canyons, gullies, and on similar cliff faces; also on some rocky stream banks and occasionally on fen ridges or peat exposures in peatlands. Usually at low elevations but occasionally to the lower subalpine.
Comments: Sometimes with sporophtyes.
