Ian Worley
[as Eurhynchium praelongum]
Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout.
Habitat: Most frequent in disturbed sites or in the margins of forests; abandoned roads, stream rocks, maritime reefs, among grasses in abandoned yards and towns, in roadside ditches, rotting wood in meadows, and other rather "weed" sites.
Comments: Infrequently with sporophytes. Eurhynchium praelongum var. stokesii is included here with the typical variety.
