Diphasiastrum sitchense
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Alaskan Clubmoss (Diphasiastrum sitchense): Trailing club moss with rounded stems found in high elevation forest and tundra. Collections are primarily from the northern half of the region on mountains near the Gulf of Alaska, though it is unclear whether this represents the actual distribution accurately.
Local Notes
- Sitka/Diphasiastrum sitchense: Easy to find in subalpine tundra of most ridges near town, including along Harbor-Gavan Trail, where it is easy to observe. (edit)
