Codriophorus acicularis
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Codriophorus acicularis: Green to blackish moss found on wet rocks and boulders near and in streams. The blunt tipped leaves with toothed upper margins and erect capsules help distinguish this moss from Scouleria aquatica, a species similar in appearance and habitat.

Habitat: Common on rocks in streams; wet, decorticated logs; wharfs; and similar sites wet with splash. From sea level to the subalpine.
Comments: Often with sporophytes. This species is suboceanic.
