Worley's Map of Collection Records for Claopodium whippleanum

Ian Worley

Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 170. New to Alaska.
Habitat: On canyon walls and cliffs in forests, on soil, rotting wood, and occasionally clay banks.
Comments: The southeastern Alaska material lacked sporophytes. The present reports from Alaska are an expected extension of the range of the species in western North America. They are the most northerly sites for the species throughout its range.
