Castor canadensis
From Natural History of Southeast Alaska
Beaver (Castor canadensis): Present throughout most of the region where there is suitable habitat. Apparently poorly documented with specimens, however.
Local Notes
- Sitka/Castor canadensis: Population introduced to Goddard in 1927. It's unclear whether there was a native population on Baranof Island prior to this time. (edit)
