Presl's sedge (Carex preslii): May be overlooked - very similar to Carex pachystachya

No collections in ARCTOS from the region as this species. Hulten mapped an isolated record from Yakutat area.

Key characters: clump forming with gynecandrous spikes and winged perigynia; The spikelets are less crowded on the stem than C. pachystachya. All C. pachystachya perigynia have unwinged beaks, those of preslii may be winged to the tip.
